  Switched to Thumb Cellular about 3 years ago, and have been so happy with their service since. I've had to call customer/billing service a few times, and always received friendly service. Tanya Oberski has been the one to get us all set-up on Thumb Cellular, and set us up with the phones we were looking at, and helped us to find the best plan for our needs. I've always been able to email her directly with questions, and she even came out to our home to deliver the phones and set-up our in-home cell system. The service in and out of the thumb is AWESOME. I'm waiting for a new phone to be release, and she has gone out of her way to inform me of delays out of their control regarding the new phone. I feel that, despite the friendly customer service/sales support, there is something lacking in the technical repairs department. Last year I had my Galaxy S5 require some repairs under warranty. I was provided a loaner phone, which was the same phone, so it wasn't a huge issue, but it literally took months for my phone to get back to me and get fixed. This is stressful because I felt like I had to be extra careful with the loaner as any accidents that happen while I have it would be my responsibility, and I didn't want to install all my apps and customize a phone that I would just be handing back soon anyway. Updates as to the status of my repair were not provided unless I specifically called, and a few messages left went unanswered. In a similar situation, my wife was having some issues with her brand new iphone, some glitch that would turn off the ringer without her knowledge. When dropping off the phone for service we forgot to remove or mention the PIN that unlocked the phone. While this was our mistake, a cell phone company employee accepting a phone for repair should check for this type of thing, or at least ask the customer about it. Again, we received no called regarding an update, and two weeks later my wife went into the store to ask about it. The employee, with a condescending attitude no less, informed her the repair people sent it back because of the PIN lock, and did not service it... For a PHONE company I should think dialing a 7-digit number to a customer to ask about their PIN locked phone would have been much simpler than sending it back to the store where a sales person would be rude about the fact it was locked. Back to service it went, where they informed us there was no problem in the first place. We have narrowed down the problem to be occurring when plugged into our car for some reason so we just avoid doing that now. Both our repair experiences have been poor. If you're looking for reliable cell service in the Thumb area, this is the way to go. I recommend it to all my friends who try to use AT&T or Verizon in the area, and I like to keep as much business as possible local.
